Students on School Grounds After School
Students are not permitted to play after school unless a parent or guardian supervises them. As per district policy and the school handbook, students are expected to go directly home at the end of the school day unless supervised by a parent or guardian. After school students must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

PTA Funding for School Programs and Improvements
$18,500 to fund the opening of a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) Lab housed in the science lab; $6,000 to support after school Enrichment Programs, Tiger Paw Publishing, and Art Reflections; $4,500 to host several exciting assemblies, including Extreme Energy, Chinese Acrobats, The Globetrotters, and Author/Illustrator E.B. Lewis; $3,000 earmarked for refurbishing the teachers' lounge; $3,000 to support 5th Graders' trip to Camp Ockanikon; $2,500 to support the popular Tatem Talent Show; $2,400 to support educational field trips throughout the year, including providing Tatem field trip shirts to all students; $2,000 to purchase classroom supplies and new furniture; $1,000 towards Teacher Appreciation Week

2019-2020 PTA Impact During COVID-19
Even with a shortened school year due to COVID-19, the PTA accomplished: $63,000 to install an Outdoor Classroom through Boosterthon fundraising efforts; $8,100 to purchase technology upgrades for new iPads; $6,000 in Scholastic Bucks for STEM Lab and Library supplies; $2,800 for individual Teacher Wish List items including flexible seating, standing desks, classroom organizers, document readers, wireless headset and microphone for APR PA system; $2,500 to purchase new school/field trip shirts for ALL students AND teachers, including customized 5th grade shirts; $1,600 allocated toward Assemblies: Globetrotters, Skateboard Science and Taiko Drums presentations; $600 to celebrate teachers: Welcome Back to School, monthly luncheons and Teacher Appreciation Week

2020-2021 PTA Impact During Pandemic
The pandemic continued but so did the PTA! Accomplishments included: $6,000 for 5th Grade activities including scavenger hunt, class trip, graduation and contribution to the newly installed ADA compliant Gaga Pit Legacy Gift; $6,000 in Teacher Wishlists (including document cameras to facilitate virtual learning) & Appreciation events; Backyard Master Landscape Plan created; Tiny Tiger Playground Replacement Project Kicked off with surveys, meetings and fundraising; $4,300 raised during Spirit Week; $5,000 The Haddonfield Foundation Grant; $2,000 The Rotary Club of Haddonfield Grant

PTA Impact report for July 2021 - May 2022 documenting 420 Tatem Tigers, 172 PTA Members, and 50 Volunteers. Key accomplishments include: 30 Bricks Sold, Yearbook Coordinated, $5,750 in Field Trips Subsidized, $1,500 in Teacher Wish List requests fulfilled, $1,800 in Teacher appreciation items, $1,100 Library Subscription Renewed, $80,000 raised through events including Playground Grants, Spirit Wear & School Store, Bake Sales & Pretzel Sales, AmazonSmile & Box Tops. Events hosted/supported/funded included K/1 Playground Playdate, Welcome Back Movie Night, Boosterthon, Hip Hop Assembly, Family Skate Night, 4th & 5th Grade Talent Show, Book Fair, Student Holiday Shop, Parent Socials, Spaghetti Bingo, Tatem Fair, Ice Cream Social, Field Day, and One Book One School Reward. 5th Grade Contributions included Sendoff T-shirts, Camp O Trip Admission, District Pool Party, Scavenger Hunt, Moving Up Ceremony, Moving Up Gift, District Skate Party, Legacy Gift Contribution, Future Chef Contribution, and Safeties Program.

Help bring creative programs and experiences to Tatem! The Programs & Enrichment Chair supports the volunteers who lead a wide range of activities for students, staff and families, and helps develop new ideas for our school community. Responsibilities include: support coordinators for activities such as the talent show, yearbook, assemblies and Field Day, help develop literacy, STEAM, art and student safety initiatives, coordinate staff appreciation and backyard beautification efforts, and work with volunteers and school staff to grow programs such as Reflections and Recess Runners.
