Edison PTA Impact Report (August 2022 – June 2023)
Annual PTA impact summary highlighting community contributions: Teachers celebrated with book wish lists, appreciation events, and staff recognition. Volunteer hours contributed to library operations, bulletin boards, and PTA management. District activities supported including zone PTA meetings, scholarships (2 funded), and concession stand staffing. 5th grade contributions included yearbook, field trips, and class events. Major events hosted: Fall & Spring Book Fairs, assemblies (Earth Dome, Hip Hop, SK8 For Life), Game Day, Holiday Shoppe, Family Dance, Roller Skating Night, Fall Fair, Splash Party, and Phillies Game. Funds raised through unfundraiser, spirit days, flower sales, pie sales, spiritwear, basket auction, and Amazon Smile. Notable achievement: $2,100 in field trip subsidies provided.

Early Dismissal & Visitor Policy - VERKADA Security System
New VERKADA Security System in place to protect students. Upon arrival at school, ring the doorbell at the main entrance. You will be let into the vestibule to sign your child out or to sign in for a visitor pass. You may wait in the vestibule for your child. Photo IDs are REQUIRED to be presented/scanned EACH TIME for all Visitors and Parents/Guardians picking up their child(ren) early from school.

School Counseling Connection - October Friendship Goal
October's monthly friendship goal is 'Use Kind Words.' The School Counseling Connection provides resources for parents to support friendship skills at home, including recommended books (Be a Friend by Salina Yoon, Better Together by Chloe Douglass, My Best Friend, Sometimes by Naomi Danis, One by Kathryn Otoshi, Better Than You by Trudy Ludwig) and tips for handling social conflict: pause and cool down, use 'I' statements, listen actively, brainstorm fair solutions, and ask a trusted adult for help if needed.
