Jazz Band applications are available until Friday 9/18. Any new members must complete an audition to participate. Auditions will take place on 9/24 & 9/25 during the school day. All information and audition materials are located in the Jazz Band Google Classroom (Code: hsb6w6vr).

Band and Orchestra program for the upcoming school year. Students should register and review class descriptions by Friday 9/11. Students should have received invitations to Google Classrooms. All Lesson & Rehearsal information will be announced in Google Classroom.

Chorus program starting next week, meeting in the GYM during WIN period 2:15pm-3:00pm. 8th Grade Chorus meets Tuesday, 7th Grade Chorus meets Wednesday (No Audition Needed), 6th Grade Chorus meets Thursday (No Audition Needed). All chorus members must complete the Information Packet and register for Chorus.

Rosa PTA supports many events and activities for the school. Parents are encouraged to join as voting members to support the school community.

Cherry Hill Public Library Teen Department is seeking book-loving teens to serve as general volunteers and as leaders on their Teen Advisory Board (TAB). TAB is a leadership position for young responsible teens who want to serve in the public library. Applications are due September 13.

Rosa is planning the 8th grade end of year dance and is looking for volunteers to join committees for decorating, food, and fundraising.

Beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year, New Jersey State statute prohibits personal internet-enabled devices (PIED) from being used in schools throughout the entirety of the school day, from bell-to-bell. Phones are expected to be off and away during the school day to support student focus and face-to-face engagement. Parents are asked to help support this policy.

Students must keep wireless communication devices (cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, wireless headphones) silenced and in a secure place during instructional periods. Smart watches may be worn but only for timekeeping. Students are prohibited from recording audio or video at all times. Exceptions apply for devices documented in IEPs, 504 plans, or Individual Health Plans with prior School Nurse permission. Discipline for violations is governed by the Student Code of Conduct.

All students exit the building through Door 15 or Door 9. Pick up your child using the Parent Loop next to the large parking lot. Families are not allowed to pick up students in the front of the building and may not enter the larger parking lot.

Minimum drop-off time is 7:40 AM; students will not be permitted into the building prior to 7:40 AM. 6th graders enter through Door 9 and make a right into the first door to the gymnasium. 7th graders enter through Door 9 and make a right into the second door to the gymnasium. 8th graders enter through Door 9 and make a left into the cafeteria/APR.

Spring sports registration is now open. To be cleared for participation, students must complete: online registration (Forms Tab in Genesis Parent Portal), health history update (Forms Tab in Genesis Parent Portal), student activity fee (PaySchools), and submit original hard copy of Medical Eligibility Form to the nurse's office (no photocopies/faxes/emails accepted).

District paperwork will be sent out electronically on August 26 by 9:00 AM. Families whose paperwork is complete will be able to access teacher assignments, bus information, and schedules (at the secondary level), beginning August 28 by 9:00 AM.

Latino Heritage Month celebration materials and resources available.

Celebration of Latino Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. Resources provided include Camden County Library Button Maker Family Event (September 15, 2026), National Archives Hispanic Heritage Month resources, SHU's 250 Years of Latino Impact on American History, NASA's Hispanic Astronauts, Smithsonian Hispanic Heritage Month resources, PBS Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, Biography Channel's Famous Hispanic Athletes, and NPL Celebrating Latinx Authors. Shared resources help recognize how attributes of the Portrait of a Graduate are integrated into learning.

NJ Week of Respect observance.

Cherry Hill Public Schools introduces the early literacy universal screening process for students in kindergarten through grade five. The screening assesses students' reading skills at least twice a year as required by New Jersey law; Cherry Hill will assess three times a year to track student progress. DIBELS 8 will be used as the screener, administered by a teacher or staff member in no more than 10 minutes. Families will receive a Family Report detailing their child's literacy screening results and information about available support services including reading intervention programs.
