The Cherry Hill Preschool PTA is seeking room parents who are interested in planning and organizing preschool activities. Room parents should be team players and creative individuals. Sign up using the provided form.

Join the Cherry Hill Preschools PTA this year! Goals include supporting students, supporting teachers and staff, hosting exciting events, and having fun while making a difference. Membership costs: $8 for teachers, $10 for individuals, $20 for 2 parents. Community members are welcome to join. Room parent sign-up available. First meeting October 5th at 6 PM at Malberg or online.

Students should arrive at the bus stop 5-10 minutes prior to scheduled pick-up time. Buses depart approximately 10-15 minutes after the end bell time. Automated delay notifications are sent for individual route delays of 20 minutes or more. Timing may fluctuate during the first three weeks of school and throughout the year due to weather, traffic, and construction. Contact Transportation Department at 856-489-5851 for questions. Beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year, New Jersey State statute prohibits personal internet-enabled devices (PIED) from being used in schools throughout the entirety of the school day, from bell-to-bell. Phones are expected to be off and away during the school day to support student focus and face-to-face engagement. Parents are asked to help support this policy.

All Cherry Hill Public Preschool locations are completely nut free. Nut products such as peanut butter, cashew butter, almond butter, hazelnut spread (Nutella), and whole nuts are not permitted. Students should not bring nut products to school as they pose health and safety risks and will not be permitted to be consumed while at school.

Students must keep wireless communication devices (cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, wireless headphones) silenced and in a secure place during instructional periods. Smart watches may be worn but only for timekeeping. Students are prohibited from recording audio or video at all times. Exceptions apply for devices documented in IEPs, 504 plans, or Individual Health Plans with prior School Nurse permission. Discipline for violations is governed by the Student Code of Conduct.

When posting photos or videos of your child on social media or sharing with others, ensure that no other students appear in the photo or video being shared publicly. This is a major privacy concern for students and families who have not expressed approval for their child's photo or video to be publicly shared.

District paperwork will be sent out electronically on August 26 by 9:00 AM. Families whose paperwork is complete will be able to access teacher assignments, bus information, and schedules (at the secondary level), beginning August 28 by 9:00 AM.

Hispanic Heritage Month begins

Cherry Hill Public Schools introduces the early literacy universal screening process for students in kindergarten through grade five. The screening assesses students' reading skills at least twice a year as required by New Jersey law; Cherry Hill will assess three times a year to track student progress. DIBELS 8 will be used as the screener, administered by a teacher or staff member in no more than 10 minutes. Families will receive a Family Report detailing their child's literacy screening results and information about available support services including reading intervention programs.
