Third Grade Science Unit: Sun, Moon and Stars
Third grade students in Ms. Capone, Mrs. Royds, Miss Seiden, and Miss Duncan's classes studied the sun, moon, and stars. Students learned about moon phases, Earth's rotation creating day and night, and Earth's revolution around the Sun. They performed experiments including shadow tracing (going outside in morning and afternoon to trace partner shadows), moon phase observations as homework, simulated the sun-moon-earth relationship with a lamp and foam ball, diagrammed moon phases using Oreos, and learned to use a telescope to study the night sky.

Kindergarten students made cardboard collage painted robots in the Art Room.

Fourth Grade Native American Bee Sculptures
Fourth-grade students made native American bee sculptures and all grades helped make flowers to contribute to a beautiful installation in the Art Room.

Federal Summer Meals Program
Information about the federal summer meals program that provides a solution to summertime hunger for kids. Last year, just 19 percent of eligible NJ kids received these meals.
