Resumen del último boletín
Springfield Elementary's October newsletter covers the Week of Respect, School Violence Awareness Week, Red Ribbon Day, and the October 30 Halloween Parade with updated early dismissal/bus change procedures and Halloween costume and party guidelines. Dismissal procedures include new deadlines: bus changes by 1:00 PM, parent pickup notice by 2:00 PM, and early pickup by 3:00 PM. This newsletter covers Picture Day (Wed., Oct 7, 2026) with Bassetti Photo, a student drop-off reminder (8:30-8:40 AM window), birthday treat guidelines with an order form, and early dismissal and two-hour delayed opening schedules. Several flyers in the batch (NJ Child Tax Credit / SimpleFile) are state benefit promotions rather than school content and were not extracted as school items. This newsletter highlights before and after school care through the Extended Day Program (run by school staff, 7:00-8:30 AM and 3:20-6:00 PM, five days a week, drop-in available), with 2026-27 EDC fee schedules published. It also promotes the SEPAG fall meeting on October 8 at 6:00 PM (virtual option and childcare available), reminds families of the importance of regular attendance during Attendance Awareness Month, and announces that the October H&S Association meeting moved to Tuesday, October 6. This newsletter's block of community and H&S items includes the H&S Association meeting on Oct 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM, a Springfield Home and School holiday wreath sale (orders due Nov 8, school pickup Dec 7), and spirit wear orders due Nov 1 with delivery the week of Nov 16. The Candy Monster drive runs Oct 1-16 for the H&S Trunk or Treat on Oct 16 (rain date Oct 23). Community flyers include a Relay For Life kickoff on Oct 27 and a Sandy Creek Farms wagon ride on Oct 17. This section of the school newsletter shares community flyers and resources: a Girl Scout Troop 28590 coat drive (ends October 29th, donations at the main office), Northern Burlington Youth Wrestling Club registration for Winter 26-27 (opens Oct 1, closes Oct 24), a Jacksonville Fire Company open house on Sunday, October 4, a free Camp Cardinal day camp on October 24 for Burlington County children ages 7-14, the Burlington County Parks Fall 2026 guide, Spirits and Spooks ghost tours, Autumn Lands festival at Historic Smithville Park on October 24, and breakfast program details (hot breakfast Tuesdays-Thursdays, $2.15, grab-and-go cereal kits daily). The October 2026 lunch menu for Springfield Township Schools is included, with day-by-day meal offerings, meal prices ($2.25 student breakfast, $3.65 adult breakfast, $3.50 student lunch, $4.65 adult lunch), and nutrient info for select days. School is closed October 12 (No School Today). The newsletter is from Craig Vaughn, with school contact details in Jobstown, NJ.
